Summer Convention 21
Greetings from the Utah Wool Growers Association. WE HAVE MISSED YOU! After a year of COVID we are thrilled to get together! Because the West Central States Convention will be in Park City the next two years, we thought it would be fun to take summer convention on the road. We will be hosting in Northern Utah at Utah State University, Brigham City Campus 989 S Main Street, Brigham City, UT 84302 this year. Next year we swinging south to Brian Head. We are excited to invite you to join us for our 2021 Summer Convention in Box Elder County on Monday, August 2. We hope you can come and enjoy the educational professional development, delicious food, and the chance to network with sheep producers from across the state.
Convention Registration: Registration information can be found on page two and we urge you to register early to help us plan for meals. Registering early automatically enters you into a raffle for Camp Chef Yukon ($255 value). If you register before July 26, 2021, you will receive the early bird registration pricing and we save you a seat. But don’t worry--if you can’t take advantage of early bird registration, we will still be delighted to see you and will still be able to accommodate you for meals- but you might have to eat chicken. And no one wants to eat chicken. Visit our website https://www.utahwoolgrowers.com/convention for up-to-date information and online registration.
Hotels: We have booked a room block at the Brigham City Hampton. Rooms will be $109 a night for single/double occupancy, and $129 for the triple/quad rate plus tax. Call 435-538-7080 and don’t press any numbers, just stay on the line and the desk associate will help you book using the group rate.
The Utah Wool Growers Association has always been, and will continue to be a family-oriented organization and we encourage you to bring your families and enjoy the convention. As such, children 12 and under will eat free at the Lamb Luncheon and the Lamb BBQ dinner. As a reminder we will be having an excellent session for the Women’s Auxiliary and the Young Entrepreneurs so be sure to include the number of Auxiliary/YE participants on your registration form so we can make sure there are enough supplies for each session.
Membership Dues: A gentle reminder that if you haven’t yet paid your 2021 membership dues you can do so by going to our website, utahwoolgrowers.com/member-services, and filling out the Membership Form and either mailing the form with a check to Sierra, or emailing the form to Sierra and paying online in the Sheep Shop. We appreciate your support as we work together to make the Wool Growers an excellent organization that helps strengthen individual members and works for the collective good of the sheep industry. We look forward to seeing you in Northern Utah.
